During SMT programming, process engineers usually need to manually adjust the rotation of some special components. The process is time-consuming and easy to omit some components, leading to quality risks. How to cope with such situation?
In this article, we will show a software solution to this situation. VayoPro-SMT Expert, an smart SMT programming software, provides a fast solution to coping with such situation.
Generally, during surface mounting, footprint 1 of component corresponds to pad 1, while for some special components as below, the component footprint 1 needs to be placed onto pad 2, then engineer has to manually adjust the rotation offset.
Using VayoPro-SMT Expert to program SMT machine, users could input the angle compensation of special components into database in advance. Later in programming process, these stored rotation offset could be download in batch for use.
The operating procedure is as below, first to set the rotation offset on the Part Data Editor interface, then save the data to system library.
Later during SMT programming, click “Load data from system lib”, the software would automatically match and download the rotation offset of special components.
Now, the rotation offset setting is completed.
Below is the comparison before and after downloading. After downloading, the software would automatically set the rotation offset, and the mounting angle of component has met the requirements.
